Pull tables out of a PDF into Excel
Extract numbers and tables from a PDF into a clean spreadsheet you can sort, filter, and reuse.
The pain of copying tables by hand
Copying a table from a PDF usually collapses it into a single column of text. Rebuilding it cell by cell is slow and error-prone — and a single transposed digit can change the numbers.
Extract the tables you need
- Upload the PDF to the studio.
- Tell the assistant which table or section to extract.
- Ask for the output as a spreadsheet.
- Download the .xlsx and start working with the data.
What comes out clean
- Rows and columns preserved as real cells.
- Numbers stay numbers — ready to sort, sum, or chart.
- Repeated headers and totals are recognized, not duplicated.
- A single request can pull several tables at once.
When to double-check
Merged cells and multi-row headers occasionally need a small cleanup pass. For standard grids — financial statements, order forms, schedules — the extraction is usually accurate the first time.
